I was wondering about your absence. A bit worried. Thanks for the update - as distressing as it is.

As always, I look forward to your new rants.

I've been writing a series of Substack stories - "fun" fantasies of a possible future world. Pete Buttigieg has been a highly successful president.

Can I make you Secretary of Education? In my story, the department is very well funded by the new Congress. And President Pete has directed a focus on two things:

A better funding model to support poorer school districts.

A national curriculum with allowances for regional customization. But "Individual Education" is at the core of the courses.

Can I include you in my story?

Certainly, I'd be honored to serve with Pete (:-)

Sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with all that! Hope you get one of those alert necklaces! Also, hope there’s no slippery slime in your bathroom. LOL Forgive me. I couldn’t resist that! Glad you’re feeling better.

I have a Do Nor Resuscitate necklace, which of course I managed to break in the fall but it is an easy repair

Take care and follow up with testing for cardiac events. There are newer procedures for clearing arterial blockages that are minimally invasive if that turns out to be the problem. Keep writing.

Thanks Gloria, I'll ask about the new blockage procedures because I know one of the cardiac arteries is more than 70% blocked. That was one of my problems during the 2018 heart attack I had, they didn't have a tube narrow enough to get through a woman's much smaller arteries - or so I was told

Wow! Hope you recover quickly. I worry about something like that happening to me, as I've been getting rather tipsy.

Think of you often, Fay.

I had a check-up a week ago. Blood pressure 112 over 90. "Diastolic a bit high" says the doc. She wanted to put me on heart medication. "I can't afford heart medication," said I. "So, I shall have to just trundle along on a high diastolic till the systolic meets it some day at zero. But at least, that way, I'll have enough dosh to enjoy the intervening period. Don't you think?"

I saw the look in her eye, as her commission went into the toilet.
